MAINGEAR Introduces an ION Green Gaming PC

pulse

MAINGEAR has just released info regarding its green gaming PC dubbed the Pulse. The Pulse is a highly upgradable desktop PC that uses NVIDIA’s ION chipset. Unlike most ION systems we have seen so far, the Pulse has the option to use upgraded graphics cards and not the GeForce 9400. Also, Maingear gives you the ability to use a desktop class CPU like Intel’s Core 2 series. An interesting strategy to market something “Green” to the gaming community who are not traditionally eco-friendly when it comes to their gaming rigs. The Pulse is now on sale starting at $799, so head on over to Maingear to check it out.

The Pulse is the world’s first ION PC that can be upgraded with a GeForce GPU, offering consumers the flexibility to choose an economical, low power ION solution or an energy efficient, high performance configuration with GeForce.

The ION configuration is available with Intel Core 2 45nm processors and a 80+ Certified 300 watt power supply that is 80%+ efficient. This configuration is the smallest, most energy efficient gaming PC on the market today.

Pulse also includes 802.11b/g wireless for optimal connectivity and eSata support for maximum expandability. Optional Blu-ray and TV Tuner make Pulse a phenomenal option for enjoyment in the living room.
