OCZ Upgrades Neutrino to ION

ocz_ionneutrino_1jpg

OCZ’s Neutrino is a netbook for the DIY crowd that, until recently, has had a typical Intel chipset paired with its Atom processor. However, now OCZ has decided to swap out that Intel chipset for ION. The Neutrino is different from most netbooks in that it is supposed to cater to the people who like to customize their hardware. With netbooks there is not much that is easy to swap in and out, but the Neutrino gives you the option to use your own hard drive and RAM. They also give you the option to use some of their RAM, HDDs, or even their popular SSDs for people who don’t want to get their hands dirty. OCZ is also planning to offer an ION based nettop, but it is still early in its development phase. Here are some pictures of the new nettop and Neutrino netbook at Computex:

UPDATE: Checkout how the Neutrino case looks exactly like the Weibu ION netbooks.
