Sparkle’s Stackable ION HTPC
At the Sparkle booth at Computex both Fudzilla and Hexus have gotten the scoop on this new ION based PC that looks like it was born to sit next to your audio receive, nestled under you HDTV. It is called the CUTi n30 and it looks like one heck of a nettop. As far as looks go, this is one of the best ION products I have seen. The brushed aluminum mixed with the mirror finish front plate has classy written all over it. I personally could do without the stallion etched on the top of the machine. The hardware is equally impressive with an Intel Atom N330 dual-core processor along with up to 4GB of RAM and a 500GB 2.5″ hard drive. It carries with it the usual plethora of ports that most ION nettops have such as HDMI, DVI, 7.1 HD audio, SPDIF, and gigabit LAN. There are also a total of 6 USB ports and the machine comes with a multi card reader to top it all off.
Well what the heck are those other boxes? The top box is a TV tuner that connects using a USB cable to the nettop to give you all of your DVR capabilities. The bottom box is a bay for a swappable 3.5″ HDD incase you need more storage. No details on pricing or release date yet so stay tuned for more info.
